Benjamin Stanley Stewart (nee Eddy), 8lbs 6oz, has been appointed as TimTech’s General Manager (Cayman Islands).
He was born relatively young, has no experience, but is very keen to learn. We believe he is already showing signs of great business acumen, high values & a marvellous love of life, which will stand him in good stead in this important position.
He apparently has his maternal grandfather’s good looks, but is handsome and has more hair!

TimTech wins rights to distribute Dr. Wolman products
|
|
Auckland, (June 8, 2008) TIMTECH CHEMICALS LIMITED, the suppliers of the TimTech range of Antisapstains, Wood Preservatives and Treatment Technology announced that respected German company Dr Wolman GmbH has signed an exclusive agreement with TimTech to distribute the Wolman products for remedial treatment in Australia, with further preservative products to follow shortly.
Founded in 1911, Dr. Wolman GmbH is part of the €58 billion ($116 billion) chemical group BASF and is a market leader in patented new generation wood preservatives, antisapstains, fire retardants and remedial treatment of transmission poles.
TimTech Chemicals Limited is a 100% Australasian owned private company, manufacturing and marketing wood preservatives and associated technology on both sides of the Tasman Sea.

Mr. Reinecke, Managing Director, Dr. Wolman GmbH, said he was delighted to have entered into this exclusive agreement with TimTech. "Dr. Wolman chooses their business partners carefully and we are looking forward to a long successful relationship with TimTech. When we first met for strategy discussions in February this year, we could see that they were a forward thinking, values driven company which could do a great job of marketing our premium products in their part of the world". Two to Three times More Effective than Existing Remedial Products.
Ron Eddy said "TimTech recognised that Dr. Wolman could help us grow our business. Our values are closely aligned with theirs and we are looking forward to marketing the Woman products”.
TimTech Chemicals will also have access to Dr. Wolman's world renowned research and development facilities at Sinzheim, near Baden Baden in Germany.
The two companies have been cooperating for over 12 months with joint venture trials involving government bodies, major timber preservation clients and environmental groups. The results show that the Dr Wolman remedial product is 2-3 times more effective than competitive products currently being used.

TimTech's Account Administrator, Joanne Wills, smiling brightly not long after completing the Rotorua Marathon in a very reasonable time of 4 hours 46 min. Joanne is a keen runner, also completing the New York Marathon a few years ago.Well done Joanne!

The TimTech Team Continues to grow |

The TimTech team has continued to grow due to market demand and increased business.
The photo shows the new team at Treated Timber Company Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of TimTech.
Joining Operations Manager, Brian Riddiford (second from right) are Treatment Technicians Louie Brady, Merle Huta & Sid Thompson. The team are based at CHH Woodproducts Kawerau, running TimTech’s revolutionary new UniPlant.
We also welcome another newcomer, Doug Collier, to our Papakura factory where he is assisting Wally James and Team.
TimTech will also appoint three new North Island Territory Managers early in the New Year.

Ron Eddy, TimTech Managing Director, commented on the passing of Warren Hyne on 15 March 2007, “I had the great pleasure of knowing Warren Hyne. In all my association with him he was always a perfect gentleman. You knew his word was his bond. I will always remember the lovely trip to South Africa I enjoyed with Warren & Margaret. His death is a sad loss to the industry. Our condolences go out to his family”.

Koppers Arch to pay a record $3.6 million in cartel penalties
|

The High Court has imposed record penalties on Koppers Arch Wood Protection (NZ) Limited and its Australian parent company, Koppers Arch Investments Pty Limited, after the companies admitted participating in a cartel in the wood preservative chemical industry between 1998 and 2002. The affected part of the industry was worth an estimated $35 million in 2002.
