TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum Pressure treated wood utilizes active ingredient preservatives that are recognized for this use by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that responsibly and effectively help protect wood from rot, decay, and termites.


ll four of the preservatives are widely used for many wood protection needs in the U.S. as well as applications ranging from crop protection to clothing, cosmetics, and many others.


• The treated wood specification for the TimTech™ AzUS system also meets or exceeds the penetration and retention standards in the WDMA I.S.4 Industry Standard for Millwork.

• The WDMA represents U.S. and Canadian manufacturers of windows and doors for domestic and export markets.

• The preservatives used in TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum Pressure treated wood are recognized in the United States as well as Europe, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand for wood protection.

• All TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum Pressure treated wood is warranted by Tim Tech™ Chemicals Ltd. for 20 years against fungal decay and insect attack that causes structural failure according to the details of the written limited warranty.

• The written limited warranty applies to the TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum treated wood that is primed, painted and end sealed according to written specification provided in the warranty. The TimTech™ AzUS  Vacuum Pressure treated wood is suitable for above ground exterior uses according to AWPA (American Wood Preservers Association) Use Categories 2 and 3A. Use Category 3A applies to window and door frames and other exposed millwork that is always painted.

• Wood can be treated to achieve Use Category 3B on request.

• TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum Pressure treated wood is carefully kiln dried and profiled before treatment to ensure optimum penetration of the preservatives and water repellents

• TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum Pressure treated wood is prepared in “state of the art” Vacuum Pressure Equipment to ensure deep penetration according to industry standards.

• TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum Pressure treated wood has a special carrier to penetrate the wood. This light organic mineral spirits does not alter dimensions or cause defects.

- The Special Preservative System contains water repellents to enhance dimensional stability compared to untreated wood.

- All four of the preservatives are widely used for many wood protection needs in the U.S.

- None of the materials used to make TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum Pressure treated wood contains heavy metals, or copper, or arsenic, or chromium.


Storage and Handling:

TimTech™ AzUS Vacuum Pressure treated wood products should be stored in a covered weatherproof warehouse in their original packaged form. As these are quality treated products they should be treated with care on the construction site

by keeping the packs under cover and raised off the ground.


Construction Site Procedures:

• Follow the procedures on the MSDS for the treated wood.

• Whenever the treated wood is cut or drilled, the freshly exposed areas must be swabbed or sprayed with a suitable preservative according to label requirements (E.G. Wolman Wood Preservative Clear, Cuprinol Clear, Greens Clear Wood Preservative).

• All sawdust and waste wood must be cleared off site and disposed of according to Federal, State, and local regulations.

• Treated wood must not be used in circumstances where it may become a component of food or animal feed, including those portions of bee hives in contact with honey. It must only be used according to AWPA Use Categories UC2 and UC3;


Disposal:

• Treated wood must be cleared off site and disposed of according to Federal, State and local regulation.
