TimTech™ Chemicals Limited is a company committed to bringing Values & Value to the timber protection industry.
The TimTech™ AzUS™ Warranty provides an additional assurance for all users of wood treated with TimTech™ AzUS™ wood preservatives supplied by TimTech™ Chemicals Limited. This warranty is in addition to any implied or statutory warranties and does not limit the users’ legal or statutory rights.
The Warranty is valid when wood products are prepared, treated, labeled and used in accordance with NZS3640, AS1604 or AWPA UC2 & UC3.
TimTech™ AzUS™ Vacuum Pressure Treated wood products are supported by TimTech’s 20-year warranty against fungal decay and insect attack including termites. Should any TimTech™ AzUS™ Vacuum Pressure Treated Wood product as used in an approved residential application become unserviceable within 20 years of purchase due to rot, fungal degrade or termite attack, replacement material will be provided.
To qualify for the TimTech™ AzUS™ Vacuum Pressure Treated Wood 20-year Warranty, you must be the owner-of-record of the property at the time the branded wood products are installed. Or, if the warranted wood was installed by a building-contractor, "first-owner" means the owner-of-record first acquiring the property from the builder-contractor-owner. The warranty is not transferable from the first-owner to subsequent owners of the property. Proof of purchase in the form of a dated sales invoice and an approved end-tag will be required to validate any claim against this warranty.
Terms & Conditions:
1. TimTech™ AzUS™ Vacuum Pressure Treated Wood products must only be used in above-ground situations: AWPA UC2, UC3A and UC3B (with additional preservative loadings).
2. The treated wood shall be protected from the elements by a suitable well-maintained surface coating such as a high quality exterior timber stain or three-coat paint system.
3. The warranty shall not apply unless all subsequent cuts, notches or bore holes are coated with a suitable brush-on or spray on wood preservative containing zinc naphthenate. Any treated wood that is significantly re-shaped, for example machining or ripping, must be re-treated.
4. TimTech™ AzUS™ Vacuum Pressure Treated Wood 20-year warranty covers approved branded wood products only from the date of purchase by the first-owner against structural failure caused by fungal decay or termites. The terms "rot" or "fungal decay" as used in this warranty mean attack by wood-destroying fungi that disintegrate the wood cell walls, but exclude soft rot fungi associated with "weathering" of wood. "Weathering" of wood is not decay, fungal decay or rot of any type or definition. The obligation of the TimTech™ AzUS™ Vacuum Pressure Treated Wood Warranty is limited to replacement of structurally failed branded wood products only.
5. The warranty does not cover warping, splitting, twisting, checking, delamination or other changes in the treated wood or damage resulting from any cause other than fungal decay or termite attack.
6. The TimTech™ AzUS™ Vacuum Pressure Treated Wood Warranty registered suppliers are not responsible for any costs associated with removal of damaged wood product or delivery or installation of the replacement branded wood products. The registered suppliers are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages claimed to be a result of damaged or undamaged approved brand wood products.
